| Comments: | AJ Gleason was my Great Grandfather. I am currently looking for his diary that he kept during the Civil War. I have the transcribed version he did before he died. This he did with my Grandmother, Nellie Pearl Gleason Bevington. She then typed it and it runs about 500 pages. They also made maps of each battle, etc. This I also have. Would like to at least "see" the original diary. Have been told that it is in the Columbus, OH area in a small wooden case with a glass top. Please, if anyone knows where it is can you please, please get in touch with me. |

| Comments: | My grandfather Hiram McKim and brothers John, Martin V. served in Co. B of the 15th Ohio Regiment. There was 3 other brothers (James, George W., and William) served in other Ohio Regiments. All six boys served from 1861 to 1865, fought in most of the major battles in the western theatre and all returned home with no major wounds. |
